Samaritan’s Data was founded by Eden Sheltrown, a high school student at Forest Hills Northern, and her father with a clear mission: to use data analysis to empower nonprofits. Together, they recognized the potential for data-driven insights to help organizations make better decisions, streamline operations, and maximize their impact. Seeing the challenges many nonprofits face in accessing and interpreting their data, they decided to provide their expertise at no cost. By offering services such as data exploration, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling, Samaritan’s Data supports organizations in their efforts to improve their communities.
The name Samaritan’s Data is inspired by the parable of the Good Samaritan, a story of compassion and service. Just as the Good Samaritan reached out to help a stranger in need, Eden and her father wanted their organization to offer aid to nonprofits seeking support. This name reflects their commitment to stepping in where help is needed most and their desire to make a meaningful difference through the power of data.
